Baking Soda in the Bathroom
10 Ways to Freshen Up

What you'll need:

Baking soda naturally! Generic brand is fine!
*For some other hints below, one or two other ingredients may be required*

Bathroom Grout Grungy? Clean it up!


Using a paste of baking soda and warm water, scrub with a toothbrush. *if mold on grout is unusually heavy, add a tiny bit of household bleach*

Counters need cleaning?





16 oz box of baking soda
4 tablespoons dishwashing liquid
1 cup warm water

Mix well in a medium bowl and pour into a squeeze bottle to keep in the bathroom. Shake well before each use.

Is your pretty marble stained?
No problem!




Make a vinegar and baking soda paste to gently clean away stains.

Got ring around the tub? Here's a cure!


Put 2 tablespoons of baking soda in with your bath water and rings will be a thing of the past. Your bath water will be softer as well.

Potty not fresh and clean? Not anymore!


Pour half a box of baking soda (small box) into the toilet tank every month. Let it stand overnight before flushing. Both tank and bowl will be clean!

Freshen your whole bathroom in an attractive way!


Mix equal parts of some pretty fragrant bath salts and baking soda and put them in a pretty dish. Leave out to freshen, absorb odor, and look lovely too!

Banish hard water stains in your glass shower!


Spray down with white vinegar first. Then scrub lightly with a sponge sprinkled with baking soda. Rinse well and wipe dry.

     
    Dirty, mildewed shower curtain troubles? 


Take down your shower curtain once a month. Put it in the washer with 1/2 cup of baking soda added to your detergent for the wash cycle and 1 cup vinegar during the rinse cycle. Let curtain dry after re-hanging.

Into a freezer baggie, place 1/4 cup baking soda and 1 cup vinegar. Quickly fix around shower head with a rubber band. Leave for about an hour. Then turn on hot water for about 2 minutes. Shower head will sparkle and the hard water gunk will be gone!

Need to freshen toilet in a hurry? Do this!

Sprinkle baking soda into bowl and pour 1/2 cup of vinegar in after. Let bubble and clean for about 5 minutes. Use toilet brush and gently brush away stains.
